Draft for Priya Nair

Hi Priya, Your piece on designing medication reminders stayed with me, especially the idea of quiet defaults. I'm a product designer working on patient reminders at a small health startup. Could I ask how you decide when a reminder has done enough? Thanks, Arjun

What it writes

Letter Moth drafts the messages people put off: a short note to go with a connection request, a request for a referral to a role you have found, a follow-up when nobody replied, and a reply to an inbox message you would rather not leave sitting.

Each one starts from the profile or post you have open, not from a template. If the person wrote about a project, spoke at an event or changed teams, the draft can say so, because that text is on the page you are looking at.

How it reads the profile

Nothing is read until you click the toolbar button or the right-click menu. Then it takes the page title, the text you selected or the visible page text, and anything already in the message box. You see that context first and can untick any part of it. It never reads password or payment fields.

The draft is inserted into the box you chose. Letter Moth does not send messages, click buttons for you or collect profiles in bulk. You read it, change it, and press send yourself.

It fits the box

Connection notes have a short character limit, and a draft that is too long is useless. Letter Moth reads the limit of the field you are writing in and trims the draft to fit it, instead of leaving you to cut words by hand.

What makes a LinkedIn note get answered

  • Lead with the specific thing you noticed, such as a post, a talk or a project, not with who you are.
  • Make one ask, and make it small: a question, a referral, fifteen minutes.
  • Leave the pitch out of the first message. Earn the reply first.
  • Sign with your name and read it aloud once. If it sounds like a form letter, change a sentence.

Questions

Does Letter Moth send LinkedIn messages for me? No. It writes a draft into the box you picked. You read it, edit it and press send yourself. It does not automate clicks or send in bulk.

Can it write a referral request? Yes. Choose the Referral chip, add the role or job ID if you like, and it drafts a request that is easy to say yes or no to.

Will every message sound the same? Each draft starts from the page you are on and from the profile you wrote about yourself, and you can pick a tone: natural, professional, casual, warm or concise. Edit freely.

How many LinkedIn drafts can I write for free? The free plan includes 10 drafts every day, with no card needed. Pro removes the daily limit.
